About AuthorPing

AuthorPing notifies you when a series or author you love has a new book coming out and shows a countdown to every release. Free on iPhone and Android.

Why I built it

I was tired of waiting years for the next book in a series I loved, then finding out months after it came out. I couldn't find a simple way to get notified when a series or author I loved had a new book coming, so I built AuthorPing, for myself and for every reader who knows the pain of trying to keep up with every series they read.

Where our release dates come from

Release dates come from Hardcover, a community-maintained book catalogue, and AuthorPing checks them every day. A date is only written as a day once it is confirmed; until then we say the year it is expected, or that no date has been announced yet.

How our articles are written

We may use AI tools to help us research and draft articles. Every book title and release date in them comes straight from our own release calendar, and anything we learned elsewhere links to its source. If you spot a mistake, please tell us and we will fix it.
